PRSA-LA recognizes excellence through its PRism Awards program. Over 200 entries are received annually from agencies, corporate, non profit, and independent practitioners in the public relations profession in and around the Los Angeles Area. The winners are honored at the Annual Prism Awards banquet, usually held in October each year. PRSA-LA offers an annual $10,000 Grant to a deserving non-profit organization for the pursuit of their mission through public relations campaigns and programs. See more information and grant application under Don Perkins Grant on this web site. PRSA nationally offers two opportunities for recognition. They are: The Silver Anvil - annually awarded to organizations that have successfully addressed a contemporary issue with exemplary professional skill, creativity and resourcefulness. In the over 60 years that these citations have been made, more than 1,000 organizations have been awarded Silver Anvils for excellence in public relations. The Bronze Anvil Awards - created by PRSA in 1969 to recognize outstanding public relations tactics, the individual items or components of programs or campaigns. They are awarded in 36 categories and several subcategories. |
